Programme Associate

CCSI is seeking a Program Associate to support the implementation of the Faith and Cultural Champions (FCC) Project, which aims to improve social norms affecting the health and well-being of young girls and women in Kaduna states. The Program Associate will play a crucial role in providing both programmatic and administrative support, ensuring smooth coordination of project activities, stakeholder engagement, and effective documentation of project progress. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about gender and social development. They will work closely with program teams, community partners, and faith and cultural champions to support the project’s objectives.

Responsibilities

Program Support

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities in alignment with the FCC Project’s objectives.
  • Support the development of training materials, presentations, and reports for workshops, community engagements, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Assist in field visits to support community-based activities, monitor project progress, and document key learnings as may be required
  • Assist in collecting and compiling data and success stories from project activities for reporting and knowledge-sharing purposes.
  • Liaise with faith and cultural champions, community leaders, and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.

Administrative & Logistics Support

  • Provide logistical support for meetings, trainings, and workshops, including venue bookings, invitations, and preparation of materials.
  • Assist in budget tracking and expense reconciliation for project-related activities.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including participant attendance records, meeting notes, and activity reports.
  • Support procurement processes by coordinating the purchase of materials and supplies needed for program implementation.
  • Handle routine correspondence and communications related to project activities.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

  • Support communication with faith and cultural champions, local organizations, and government agencies involved in the project.
  • Support advocacy efforts by coordinating meetings and engagements with key stakeholders.
  • Represent the project at community meetings, events, and workshops as needed.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Assist in data collection and analysis to track project progress against key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and donor reporting.
  • Work closely with the Monitoring & Evaluation team to document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned.

Qualification 

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or a related field. A higher degree especially in Public Health and Communication would be an added advantage
  • 2–3 years of experience in program support, community engagement, or administrative roles in an NGO or development sector.
  • Experience working on gender-focused projects, social norm change initiatives, or community-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural and faith-sensitive environments. Good understanding of social and behavior change (SBC) principles and techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online collaboration tools.
  • Fluency in English and Hausa (spoken and written).
