This position requires proficiency in requisite skills and use of tools to ensure best practices are used in all RMEL activities and ensures accurate evidence is provided to internal and external audiences.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the application of global best practices in the generation of routine data for all programs and activities, considering CCSI’s existing monitoring system.
- Applying SBC theories, Frameworks and Models to interventions.
- Perform qualitative data analysis using software (Dedoose, NVivo or Atlas Ti).
- Perform quantitative data analysis using software (EXCEL, SPSS, STATA, or R).
- Support the development of Research and Evaluation designs to fit the local context of programs.
- Support the development of quantitative and qualitative data collection tools for different study objectives.
- Draft research protocol and assist in obtaining approval from ethics committee.
- Design data quality assurance mechanisms and validate routine data for all programs.
- Work with other department staff to collect and analyze routine monitoring data to provide evidence to develop impactful innovative Social and Behavioral Change (SBC) interventions.
- Support staffs to design, implement, and monitor MEL activities, develop an MEL plan.
- Support the design and implementation of MEL tools and checklist to measure project impact that aligns with the project’s strategic goals and performance indicators.
- Support data entry process and develop data analysis plans according to reporting requirements.
- Draft indicators for programs.
- Support the presentation of findings at internal/external meetings and conferences.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical expertise, Experiences, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Medical statistics/Biostatistics, Demography, Health management, Public health, Health informatics, Information sciences, Behavioral sciences, Epidemiology, Population studies, or a related field.
- A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing RMEL activities for development programs.
- Proven experience designing and implementing RMEL frameworks, including routine data collection, data quality assurance, and data use.
- Proven and appreciable experience in Knowledge Management (KM).
- Experience in measuring activity outcomes and supporting activity supervision in RMEL.
- Experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, and report writing.
- Experience in Knowledge Management (KM).
- Well organized, strong writing and organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, mentoring, and capacity-building skills.
- Working knowledge of RMEL tools and methodologies.
- Ability to interpret data and explain findings to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent English communication (verbal and writing) skills.
- Ability to travel.
