FCC LGA M&E Assitant

- Kaduna State: Zaria - Kubau - Jema’a – Kagarko – Chikun - Giwa LGAs, Kano State: Makoda - Dawakin Tofa – Takai – Bunkure - Kano Municipal - Madobi LGAs.
Responsibilities
The LGA M&E Assistant will be responsible for supporting data collection, collation, entry, and verification at the LGA level and ensuring high-quality reporting of FCC project activities. The role will strengthen data collection and data flow at community and LGA levels and contribute to state-level evidence generation for adaptive programming.
Data Collection & Management
- Support routine collection of data from community activities, health facilities, and IFCC using standardized project tools.
- Enter data into approved databases.
- Submit all LGA-level M&E documents to FCC state office for proper archiving.
Data Quality Assurance
- Conduct routine verification of data submitted from IFFCs.
- Work with the Senior RMEL Officer to organize and conduct back checks, data validation and Data Quality Assessments (DQAs).
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of IFCCs implementation activities data.
Reporting
- Compile and submit timely monthly and quarterly LGA reports to the Senior RMEL Officer.
- Support the analysis and presentation of LGA data for review meetings.
Capacity Building & Support
- Provide basic mentoring and on-the-job support to IFCCs, field personnel on the proper use of data tools.
- Strengthen the LGA-level reporting system in collaboration with LGA health authorities.
Learning & Documentation
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and challenges from FCC implementation at the LGA level.
- Support review meetings, reflection sessions, and knowledge-sharing forums.
Other Duties
- Support monitoring visits to activities and communities.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the FCC project team.
Qualification
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in M&E or data management, preferably in health or development projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with community leaders, faith actors, and local government officials.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Familiarity with community-level data collection systems in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of mobile data collection platforms (ODK, CommCare, KoboCollect) is an advantage.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in the local language (Hausa).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proficient command of the Hausa language.
